Not Bread Alone
Our bakery story
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God
Matthew 4 v 4
Jimmy Hibbert had a prayer, a desire and a dream. He prayed to have a family business so that he could spend lots of time with his wife and children. He desired to serve the community with freshly baked goods, made from scratch-just as he had seen in France when he played rugby there in 1993. He dreamt of a bakery that would be a blessing to all its customers.
In 2006 his prayer was granted and hence Not Bread Alone was established.
To the family the bakery became a place of learning, of new friends, of fellowship, of early hours and of grace. It soon proved to be a haven of freshness in a community that supported them throughout. The community’s support helps us to provide employment to almost 40 valued staff members. We freshly bake pies, quiche, bread, confectionery and all kinds of delicious favourites on a daily basis.
Our wish is that you will arrive hungry and leave replenished. That you will enjoy our food and become part of our precious bakery family.
We thank God for his grace, his love, his provision and his perfect plan.
